I started painting Payday a while ago. Unfortunately, i lacked time until now... So it's moving VERY slowly (plus it's the first time i paint a mini at this scale, though i painted some monsters in a smaller scale before). I think it will eventually make a nice display piece.
I regret not having cleaned the printing lines well enough though. I might try to correct that now on the cat and part of the cape, before i continue painting.
So I have tried to put the miniature on a nice wooden base. But it's the first time I'm trying something like that. The things I put on it would not hold. For this one, I will leave it like this, but I need to find out how to do that for future minis.
Ok, I think I'm as far as my skills can take me... Trying to paint the cat white was a bad idea Also, not sure how to do the cigar better. maybe I put too much of flesh on his face? copper for the gun is maybe not highlighted enough?
I need to figure out a base for him
It continues to progress slowly. The armor has quite a few different colors, but it's hard to see it here. N.B: it's hard to find the forum on the website :-) And I could not add the photo from my phone, I had to use my laptop for that: the bar to add items to a post on the phone does not display the first and last item of the list
whohooo!! :D thank you for sharing your progress!
First of all, you chose a very important color for your Orc skin: blue, the same of Urghor!
Orc with blue skin are extremely rare and they are not particularly loved by other orcs because they believe that blue is a omen of bad luck! But it is said also that those who are born with blue skin are also intended to achieve great things in life!
Said so, I think you have set an interesting color composition: the cold hue of the skin creates a nice contrast with the warm tones of the clothes, the face is highlighted well and "pops out" nicely!
It's a complex sculpt and, above all, it is enormous so I understand your struggle with it but keep going, the final result will be worth it!
